I have found a way to use a central repository of my contact list for skype usage, which has been discussed, requested in many posts. I am not sure if it is common knowledge, but I would like to share it.
If you have got your contact in a mysql or other db type and have got quite mysql knowledge it quite straight forward. or you just use plain html code.

<a href="//+41435678901" rel="nofollow">Erik Mobile</a>

The html code using it as a part of a db, where you fetch the entries out of a DB:

now placing this on a webserver interal or on the intrenet (you might want to secure your site due to privacy reasons) make your contact list available all over the world, e.g. an other computer.

I am using "PHP-addressbook Version 1.2" from rob@widgetmonkey.com which i have made some slight changes to, but it works great.

I use skype but live in the United Arab Emirates and they have blocked the site so that I can't add more funds to my account. I can still use my dialler, but I just can't add funds!!?? Any ideas on how to even contact skype? Do they have an email contact that they will answer. Will you forward this email to them for me? My skype name is Helenskypes2005.

Anybody out there got any solutions???

There is a very easy way to do it:

Find a folder that has the same name as your skype user name here:

C:\Documents and Settings\USER\Application Data\Skype

Thank copy the entire folder to a freshly installed Skype on another machine (make sure skype is not running on either machine while copying)

Start Skype, et voilà a rebuilt contact list in seconds.

Best,
